George "Dubya" Bush - songster! |
|
Well he's certainly been President in interesting times. And people will argue over his relative merits (this funny commentary on the Dilbert Blog) or deficiencies, but he's certainly been good fodder for musicians (and poets etc.). He's been directly or indirectly responsible (as inspiration at least) for quite a few songs/hits: - Not ready to make nice - Dixie Chicks
- Capital G - Nine Inch Nails (even if Trent Reznor insists that capital G stands for the "g" in Greed - it still seems to fit the bill for "George")
- Dear Mr President - Pink
- Holiday - Green Day
- Amen – Linkin Park (added Oct 2, 2008)
Heck, this even has it's own Wiki page filled with more than a few songs I've never heard. So thank you George for being an artistic inspiration! |

Rode to work today for the first time on my new bike |
Definitely need to get gears/shifters adjusted - bit too much phantom shifting for my liking. 12.5 KM one way through Winnipeg. Kinda neat. Tried to stay off of the main and/scary fast roads/highways as much as possible. I'm pretty proud of myself as you might gather. Making progress on the whole "2008 being my most fit year in many years!" Here's my route: View Larger Map |
